Nice guit! How did you make the inlays? Dremel?
-
Very nice build
How did you finish the top? did you triple stain it or did you use tinted lacquer?
-
as far as I know - I don't remember having seen it elsewhere. Tho there's never anything new in guitar design, right?
I think I saw it here on PG somewhere... anyways I was thinking about using them too
here... http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...st&p=457462 ???
Aaaaahm
would you mind if those appeared on my fingerboard too?

Why did you paint the headstock black? Btw the guitar looks cool
-
you forgot one step: level sanding after sealer coats
And I would empty and refill the gun between coats.. what finish are you using on this one?
-
Oh now I remember... this is one of the guitars that will stay in your head forever
-
Final pictures soon? Its been 3 years! According to the Invision board timer.
If I can remember clearly, this guitar won a GOTM in 2007 Sorry if I´m wrong, but I believe I saw it finished

looking great for a first-timer my first and second was MusicMan Steve Morse-ish build. I did not look as good as I want, but it did sound great...
-
I really like it! But same as Akula, I´m not sure about that high E string...
But you really did a great job so far!

I like seeing those multiple builds. I am building two guitars right now and it is good to see how my skills are getting better Practise is practise...

Good to see you back Drak
-
just makes me wanna say: wow!
-
Oh, can you take for us a picture of the walnut back? I´m just curious how you chambered it
-
I guess the maple top is already glued on that back.. don´t you have a photo of body before you glued it?
Nice work tho
-
I love the headstock shape
Keep up good work

I´ve got one. It´s 40mm with convex blade and it´s great. It is usefull when you are making carved tops, you can also carve the back of the neck with it. Looks like it´s too small, but trust me that if you have it sharp enough, it´s perfect.

I could use some of that mahogany too
Pretty hard to get a nice piece of it in my country for a reasonable price
Looking forward to see your projects

I am really interested in that neck, because I could get some teak wood out of an old railway carriage.. should be about 110 years old... I believe teak is hard to work with.

Good Job! I love PRS builds. I like to see if people can make them even more beautiful
Thanks, I love PRS too and hopefully this one will be beautiful
At least it will be mine and original
Actually the second one appears to be superstrat with PRS headstock... we´ll see

Okay I got glued up the body blank for no.2, it is walnut (Juglans Regia, L.), just need to glue on the ears
And finally started working on necks. Scarf joints glued, sanded flat and truss-rod channel routed Fretboards are not glued on yet.

okay, custom 22 has officially changed to Custom SC 22
pics:
Glueing fretboard
Routing body
I didn´t have enough plexiglas to make another complete template, so I had to improvise
Not the best flame, but I like it
Got some wood yesterday. Alder and plain maple fort the second one.
I think the alder turned out great
