Yeh and with this new speedloader system out seems like floyd rose will forever be the dominate locking tremolo system, the biggest pain in the ass too!
-
Too bad its a 7 string
-
Exactly. And sicne the company that makes the kahlers seems to give a rats ass about it, the floys will always be the winner in sales... plus the fact that theres like 600 different licensed floyds out there makes them extremly easy to get at about any price. Its a shame..

I know one, She's 18 and is pretty good. It seems like females have harder time playing because there hands are so damn small. And their boobs get in the way??
-
i don't think kahler will sell the liscensing the way floyd rose will.so there are no "cheaper equivalents"
i guess they(kahler) are happy producing only a few
Correct and correct. They are only a very small company.
Which could easily change if they mass produced Kahlers. I know alot of people that never even played a Kahler and dont know what there missing. If Kahlers became easier to aquire Floyd Rose would have some problems

Wow! For a first guitar thats amazing you should be proud of that ax. I agree with wylde1919 i cant wait to see what your building in a few years

If you havent alreayd sold it i might be interest in the cab if your willing to sell it seperatly

Are there still new guitars made with that Tremolo? If yes I would check it out in the store....
ESP makes a Jeff Hanneman(guitarist for slayer) sig. model that can be found Here

Sounds like you've either got a ground loop, or a pickup wired in reverse - go here for everything you ever wanted to know about guitar wiring and shielding.
sorry im getting off topic, but i was wondering if you know when or if those forums will ever be up again??

Cant you just select the expression pedal to drive? The you can just pull the pedal up and get no drive aka a clean tone. Thats what i do on my 606. But ive never used a 707 b4

Opinions are no fun!

Good luck with that, Looks great so far. I cant wait to see it after the diamond plate is added <---- ok...
-
If you need diamond plating check out http://www.sharp-concepts.com/

Yeh ive seen that before. Id be afraid to play that thing because i know id have that headstock broke in a second. Look ugly to me, probably sounds ugly too.
-
Ok thanks is there anyway you can send me a diagram please?
-
Well i dont want a hum. I dont really care if its still sucking up battery life when the killswitch is on. I just want it so that theres no hum.
-
emgs use a output jack with three prongs instead of the regular 2. because one of the prongs goto the battery clip. This is what confuses me most.
-
Im sorry but i dont understand what u mean by TIP???
-
I was wondering how i would wire a killswitch with active pickups like a 81 and a 85??? heres the diagram im gonna use: http://emgpickups.com/pdf/2%20EMG%201v%201...ay%20inline.pdf but i have no idea how to install a killswitch. Ive done it before with passive electronics but this has just gotten me confused. Any help would be appreiciated

Yeh i think Eddie's use of floyds was the biggest sell point for floyd. Even though his frankenstrat woulda been easier to put a kahler on in stead of routing the spring cavity ect.. for the floyd
