  1. i dont think itll work, as there are a few governing factors here.

    1. fuse blow speed

    2. 10mA is enough to stop your heart

    3. resistance b/w foot and ground would be in the mega ohm region

fuses typically are designed to blow within minutes, some more, even quickblow fuses will take a while to blow, while the damage is done.

and 80mA fuses are uunheard of i think, unless specially made or somthing, and these wouldnt break in time. the fuse works by heating a filament up, like a bulb, and when its hot enough the steel/tungsten i think filament breaks, 80mA aint gonna melt it!

i dont like the being earthed to the guitar thing, so i bought a pair of active EMG's which dont earth external parts, so its safer!

    hope this helps

  2. the EMG81 is used on higher range guitars because it has superior sound quality, and is able to drive long lengths (transmission lines) of lead without losing the treble respose, and getting a duller sound. the EMG81 has a low impedance output, being 10K ohms, where the other EMG HZ4 will have an output of typically 250-500K ohms. The EMG 81 can drive line (CD or TAPE or AUX) style imputs, without the need for a pre-amp.

also, on a safety note the EMG81 do not earth to your strings, so they are safer, electrically, and are also lower noise than the HZ4

    hope this helps

  3. tis i again, the tele shred idea sounds cool

i havent been a fan of teles, however i think that with a few mods they may appeal to me more. i think ill set a forum on the ultimate telecaster, how to mod it etc... cool contribution guys,

    mike :D

  4. well, i want to know what you all think of the telecaster in comparason to the stratocastor, stick down the model that tickles your fancy.

my favourite here is the stratocastor, the Yngwie Malmsteen Signature in vintage white with aged hardware and large headstock. i love just looking at this guitar, hehehe, its lovely.

  5. id stay with what you have, you might find that you dont like the 7 after a while, and regret sellin ur guitar, also a modded guitar has a very low resale value. if its the low end, try lower tunings and thicker strings. eg. Malmsteen tunes to Eflat, if your sfter low tuning, tune to Eflat, then drop the bottom string, like if ure dropping for drop d tuuning, see Stephen Carpenter

  6. there are a host of tapping riffs out there, ill give a few examples.

    (high)E---0--5--8--12--0--5--8--12

    played fast its classical sounding.

tapping the fret 12, the octave of the open E

    (high)E---0--5--0--8--0--5--0--8--

played fast also neo classical, try high ish gain for fun

tapping the fret 8 with the index finger.

see the solo to One by Metallica - good tapping

Midnight by Joe Satriani has fun tapping, but is quite complex

  7. you should try the korg AX-1500G or the older 1000G (the one i use) its a great pedal, good control over the distortions, and delays etc... the vamp has been well acredited, but i think it would be best for multitracking, where switching delays dont come in to play. its a desktop modeller i think.

  8. hey guys,

i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to fix the tuning instability on a Gibson style 3-a-side headstock design, particularly on the 3rd string. i think it may be the "v" angle it goes in at, which causes binding at the nut. does anyone have any suggestions which may fix this, i have thought a string retainer type thing, to give a straight (er) string pull, but i am unsure.

    thanx

    Mike
