I have been awake nigh on 38 hours. Stayed up all night watching 24 season 1 and recording stuff. I recorded this tune using my 31 fret guitar. I hadn't been playing in a few weeks and seriously felt it!

select the free download.
Anyway, its in Ab Eb Ab Db F Bb tuning with 011 - 070s. Reason kit. Bass guitar tuned an octave below.
this is how she looked unfinished.

Anyway, its called metal takes five - from the upcoming unofficial album release "Five takes of take five" by me and aaron marshall. The tunes have or have been near take five at some stage, and we have adapted them. The idea was to make different adaptions, but finally we decided upon making a pissery of it, and just putting the faintest hint of it in, and running with a Korn-esque riffery with a kinda fusion style lead.
To my defence the lead was first take, at 3.20am whilst drinking Budvar, I am happy enough (and too lazy to repair it).
For the guys who remember this guitar when I had made a yellow pine body, this is the revamped improved shape. The yellow pine got filthy too since it was oiled and not maintained! It was askin for a re-doin... had worn the cheap floyd out!
Hope you guys enjoy this!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
he can't even play a playstation, and the very name suggests anyone can. hahahahahahahahaa.
plus he can't play guitar cos he is ****.
"its like a A minor arpeggio with like some notes hammered in like. errrr A minor 7 yeah its like A minor seven with notes. yeah." (herman, go learn english and guitar.)
mate, I know it was dubbed - his "betchya cant play this" is a joke anyway, I cracked up watching his real attempt!!
Id love to see him "shred" along side michael romeo, see how long he lasts. romeo is very lyrical and inventive, which is why I chose him and not Cooley, who I think like Jet Li, he is the one.

keep us updated, looking well!

it looks like a nice axe, well done

nor do I - as others have mentioned, the string spacing will be all out of kilter and it will probably give an uneven pickup of the strings.
I had played with the idea of a neck pickip, but at £85 a pop, I think not! Besides, if Meshuggah don't need a neck pickup, I don't LMAO. nice logic, I hope you approve!

thats 2 for walnut. i had some very similar wood a few years ago.
2 - emm, maybe ash if it is a hardwood. maybe its redwood or pine if a softwood. you can tell by the smell and resin content.
3 - it does look like alder
-
yep, i bought 2 sets of 3x3. probably will do a tilt headtock. gonna look for shapes i like, conklins are sexy! man, i want one!

they called me insane *muahaahaahaaa*
anyway, here is a rough idea of how she will look. the neck has 30mm to be trimmed off it, it is too wide atm. Waiting for my bridge before I do that though, no more jumpin the gun fo me!
27.25" scale?? not sure yet, and also, any one think of a headstock that would compliment that body. I'm thinking 4x4.
not sure about a tilt or a strat style thing, haven't made my mind up. any ideas?
volutes?
