17, male, hungry, tired, allowed to drink, not allowed to drive cars....
-
hmmm, inverted colors would look interesting...
-
Jeez!!!!! fron that basic shape shown in the photo's you could just about build anything you want
that was the idea....
-
what about taking out all the electronics, taking your bandsaw, doing two little cuts, so that it looks like this:
then treat it as if you were building a neck-thru and make it whatever you wan it to be. well, somewhen you should strip it. that would be a real cool explorer mod, and if anyone asks you, what kind of guitar you have, you just say: thats my modded explorer...... i'd like to see his face...
-
i'd first fill it and then redrill. thats what i did, when i had to reposition the posts
here is the thread, starts somwhere around page 2 i think
-
scale length dividet through the distance between bridge and nut on the pic should give you a scale, and then you can enlarge it any way you want
-
ok, i added them...
-
looks good to me too
next you could try:
v ^ ^ v v ^ ^ v v 19p15------15-19-15-17-14------14-17-14-15-12-------12-15-12-14-11----- -----17--17--------------15--15---------------13--13--------------12--- -------16------------------14-------------------12------------------11- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------------------------------

it's easyer to play each one twice and if you want some realy hard stuff then try this:^ vvvvvv ^^^^^ v ^ v v vvv ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ |-------3h7/10p7--------|----------8h12/15p12-------------| |------3--------8-------|---------8----------13-----------| |-----4----------7------|--------9-------------12---------| |----5------------9-----|------10----------------14-------| |---5--------------10p5-|----10--------------------15p10--| |3h7-------------------7|8h12---------------------------12| |-------------10h14/17p14--------------|-------------15h19/22p19----------------| |-----------10-----------15------------|-----------15-----------20--------------| |---------11----------------14---------|---------16---------------19------------| |-------12--------------------16-------|-------17-------------------21----------| |-----12------------------------17p12--|-----17-----------------------22p17-----| |10h14-------------------------------14|15h19------------------------------19\p3|
btw, if you want to learn to sweep, play a lot of Children of Bodom stuff... alexi likes sweeping.....
-
nice side-dots....
-
but with the same strings and scale you'll need the same tension to bend the same pich, only the way too achieve the tension may vary
-
what incredible recording gear did you use for producing such a "noise"???
hehe, just learned to play artificial harmonics???
-
Are you gonna buy the PRS with a 10 top, or average top?
I would never buy a PRS at all....no matter how many money I have....
agreed.....
-
i pretty much like my .009-.046 strings. no matter if tuned to E, D, or even C, they play comfortable and fast, and i can do some heavy rythm-stuff with them. plus i can shred on the lower strings as well as playing heavy riffs. for me, i think it's the best solution. i once played on .011-strings, but i didnt like that at all... no ability to bend...
-
yes, it's a kind of wood. my cort strat-copy is made from it too. it doesn't sound that bad, but there are much better woods to build an electric guitar from. i've read many different things, the one said, agathis is a terrible crapwood and some other had a very good oppinion on it, and someone wrote, that there are two different types of agathis....
if anyone of you can say something precise about it, please do.

Unreal Tournament is the best multiplayer shooter ever....for singleplayer I liked Doom and Unreal/Unreal2 very much!
nothing to add

By pulling the lever back, the long allen screw moves up, so it lowers the tension of the string, so it lowers pitch. But with a floating bridge it will cause to detune every other strings, so to use this device properly you should lock your trem one way so you can only lower pitch.
you could also use a black box, that would allow you to pull the trem up and use the d-tuna without any probs

well, let's do some maths
the sideview of the template is a triangel with one agel set at 90°
as we all know, the tangens of the neck-angel is is the height divided through the downside.
so, if we calculate a little, we know: h=tangens(neck angel)*(length of the template)
here a pic:
-
yes, you will have problems, if you plan to lock the strings in the nut. when locking the strings, they get slightly out of tune, so you will need fine tuners on your bridge. but if you do not plan to lock the nut, you'll be just fine
-
no, i think i'll let it how it is now...
-
the clean sound is a little, and only a little bit more metallic than before, the sustain stays equal, pinch/artificial harmonics come out better. i love my axe now even more than before
-
so, finished my work today, here are some pics of my new tremolo!!!!!!
PS: has anyone of you a locking nut in gold lying around he would sell me??
-
if the strinngs are not wrapped around the post, the full string-tension comes to the point, where the strings are locked in the tuner. i can imagine that they would brake here easy
oak neck?

maybe it's a little heavy, but that's something you have to know on your own, weather you want a light or a heavy guitar. if weight doesn't matter oak will be fine
