  8. dude, thats why you keep another guitar if you wanna play in a different tuning. You should keep your floyd in standard tuning most of the time, with they exeption of the dtuna... in my oppinion, having a floyd on ure ONLY electric guitar is retarted, and its a pain in the ass
  9. what exactly does the saddle of bridge... in particular on tremolos
  10. when using a floyd rose what type of tuners should i get/do i need 3 and 3? 6 in line? locking? non locking? help!

  12. i wanna buy a floyd rose trem with a drop d mechanism... what website should i go to to get this.... note: stew mac and warmoth dont really work.... guitarparts depot is ok, but not great, and allparts.com only sells to stores anyother parts websites that would sell floyd rose trems? with drop d mechs...
  13. have any of you coiled/wound your own pickups... i know its posibble... but i dont know how i would go about doing it... is it worth the trouble or no?
  14. thanks for the feed back every one im really exited to wstart this project... thanks again!
  15. yea from reading other posts i figured that if the fret work isnt right, the guitar wont sound as good, which is why im thinking of investing in some nice fretworking tools... my grandfather has an entire woodworking shop, because thats what he does for a living, so i wont have to invest in most other tools that i otherwise would need (bandsaw, belt sander, router etc...)
  16. wow 1/128th? how do you get a measure ment that exact??
  17. thanks i think im gonna do this... now im excited lol
  18. ive been planning for a while now to start the process of buiilding a guitar, and at first my initial worries were... money obviously.. but ive come to realize that all that isnt a problem but my larger problem is ... will i be able to do this? as a 14 year old freshman in high school, im wondering if i accually have the physical capabilitys to complete a project such as this... i dont wana my guitar to come out like junk you know... any feedback is appreciated

  20. im in millburn nj, near newark and shorthills... where is rondo music located?
  21. ok heres the deal... youve probably read one of my other topics concerning the same subject, but basically i want a 12 string guitar and i want to build it and customize it... not necisarrilly from scratch.. I had this nylon piece of crap lined up from my friend for me to buy and customize but hes being a piece of **** and hes not selling it... so what should i do... should i BUY from a music store a 50-100 dollar guitar and make it good... Basically, ive never built or customized a guitar, and i think that this project will get me valuable experience, any suggestions are apreciated...
  22. well the point is, that i want to get the experience of guitar customization... so anyways, i think ill get a new neck for the thing, put a truss rod in and put a figerboard, fret it myself, and make it a twelve string... thanks guys
