  1. hmm the poll question was "what continent are you on" yet for choices we have 5 continents, a country, and other. couldnt you have just listed all 7 continents? anyways, im in NJ, USA. North America that is.
  2. i use a router to round over the edges with a round over bit than sand you could do some pre-smoothing with the router but no matter how you approach it you will always have to finish up with sandpaper.
  3. half stacks and cabs usually have footswitch inputs. i have a peavy classic thirty that has the 1/4" input jack. if it has one any pedal will work.
  4. could you have picked a less hederosexual way to spell rules?
  5. im the type of guy who gets bored playing entire song through so i usually just play the solos to songs... that said, the solos to all along the watch tower are fairly easy and with some practice youll definatelly get them
  6. keep in mind i know nothing about electronics, but if im correct, wouldnt you just use the same wiring techniques as building a normal amp? just on a smaller scale... ive seen plans and part lists for building amps all over the internet... google it, see what you can find.

  10. i think this is a good thing.., oh no, now we ARENT like everyother guitar site ever... there are acually rules, it will all help keep things organized and people in order...i agree with all the changes, as a newbie my self, on my first guitar project, i hate sorting through thousands of pages to get the answer im looking for, i think everyone will like it once its all said and done
  11. this doesnt have to be a place where we can let loose... do you konw how many nonsense forums there are where people can post whatever they want? hell is one thing, but "you f*cking f*cker" is annother... i agree with kevan and the rest of em, we dont need it, this forum should be able strictly guitar building... im wondering if we even need an off-topic section.
  12. yeh, lowes, sears, chase-pitkin (east coast USA only), home depot, any major hardwear store will have them... its not worth orering online, they cost like 2 bucks, just go to noe of those places.
  13. it says your site is temporarily unavailable. just get the pictures URL, and type in [img=your-url-here]
  14. 13/16ths is pleanty... you only need 3/4... the headstock would drop 1/4" and the rest of the neck would stay 3/4ths. that is, aslong as your using a glued on fingerboard, and not a 1 piece neck. if its a 1 piece neck, you should have at least a 1" neck blank. but i think you said u had a fingerboard so, good luck.
  15. what do you mean by "boost your sound"... a od-1 is a distortion pedal... all it does is give you distortion.... if your looking for a clean solo, than dont use a distortion pedal... define "boost my sound". btw shouldnt this go in the players corner?
  16. ive tried over and over agian playing trough the song and not once to i find it natural or comfortable to use my thumb at all.... i just odnt ge tit.

  20. i had the same truss rod. i used a 1/8 (3.5mm)" cutter bit. i went over it several times increasing the distance between my fence and my neck each time untill i had the entire channel routed. patience my friend, patience.
  21. lol yeh, this is my first guitar and firstr inlay and as with all new things come new mistakes to make
  22. looks nice... is that a custom made pickguard? looks like an old 70's tele pickguard cut inhalf.
  23. i vote guitar frenzy and his making of a strat pictorial.
  24. well yeh thats what ive been doing. using maple sawdust mixed with strong epoxy glue, and tring to fill in the cracks, and its working ok. i mean, i supose if i just go over it a few more times itll work. i just wanted to make sure i wasnt doing anything stupid.
