    if you have read any of my other posts,you would have figured out im ready to venture into the amazing world of building guitars... i am apporaching the time where i will start my first project, and im wondering... im hearing alot about various tools that people use... which tools are absolutely necissary vs. optional for building a custom guitar?

    how do you guys decide the mesurements and other certain details that you are going to make for your custom guitar, before you start. Im a noob, and i assume that you just dont go and make one without propper planning... is there a software out there that is good for constructing prototypes?

    yea they arent really templates, but there are some good programs on that site

    does anyone know a website where i can download tracing templates off the web for headstocks, bodys, necks, etc??

    Hey, im about to get started on my first project : building an electric guitar from scratch...before i get started, i really want to know how a guitar works in terms of the electronics etc... i was thinking of taking apartmy current electric to explore the guitar, but im afraid i wont be able to put it back togetther, and im afraid ill ruin the guitar... can someone explain how the electronics in an electric guitar are set up including pickups knobs etc, or at least re assure me that i wont ruin my guitar if i take it apart? THANKS

    hey guys, im a long time guitar player, first time builder, i just got interested in this stuff, and i was wondering... how much does it cost to build a custom guitar... would i be better off with a custom electric, or custom accostic... please help me!!!
