1. i just has a though when i'm playin with headphones on both cahnnels are fine so(and im not sure) that must mean that the processer is gettin the signal etc so it must be in the actuall amp circuit just before it goes out to that channel im hoping that it will be a diode or a fuse or sumthing dead simple seein as im sure that the procesor etc is all working properly it cant be that difficult to fix surely
2. do u know how i can find these service centres in the uk i can seem to naagate round the L6 site loads of dead links on it!!! (another line6 let down to think i have always sung there praises) well im gonna have a pop at it maself first, i cant make it any worse, if there isn't a service centre near me i'll take it to the local collage electrical department an hope one of ma mates can have a better look with the equipment there, i'll let u all know how i get on later with it, if i dont shock maself or summit lol!!
3. i found loads on the line 6 forums but mostly they were about the channel cutin in and out this is a complete channel blow out, there is no siganl comin from the channel at all in any mode, but com to mention it it did crackle a bit just before it blew an cut on and off till it completely died, again is this fixable ???or is it new amp time
4. iv already had one offer for it, where abouts is "here"
5. its not just the ping pong delay its in general the whole channel has blow, so can this be fixed or am i lookin at buyin a new amp??
6. i have a line 6 spider 212 amp, and one of the channels in it has stoped workin thus stoppin the ping-pong effect delay etc what is the most likely problem an can it be home-fixed as i really cant afford a shop repair but i get on quite well with electronics etc an gettin the parts will be no problem, thanks for any help <b> Sorry i know it says line 5 it was a mistake it was as u guessed it ment to say LINE 6
7. "none that i have an i have 4. 1 of which i sheilded" i live out in the srick so mabye thats why sheilding doesnt seem to improve anything for me, btu even when playing gigs in clubs etc i here no extra hum and have never needed to shield it may work for people but not for me,
8. the sheilding technique will not work nd is pointless on a strat (none that i have an i have 4. 1 of which i sheilded) unlees u live or are playing near a radio transmitter or simmilar, the best thing is a good solid earth from the bridge (not the trem spring holder) direct to the ground on ur jack point or to the vol pot, i find the best way to ground a bridge is to feed the wire through the body to the backplate then back up through the bridge slot, with the copper wire exposed remove th bridg and insert the exposed end into the screw hold and then rescrew the bridge back in, other people have different methods but this wors best for me and them ones were quieter than the strat i sheilded until i re grounded it too now none of them have any buzz appart from the natural pick-up hum
9. Well this is my first atempt at re finishing a guitar. as i am a glasgow scotland guy i wanted a guitar with a st andrews flag plate all in blue after lookin at some nice blue strats etc an sum companies that'll do custom plates i thought hhmm i could pull this off my-self. Here is the product It Was Red http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/9/27/243258/000_0392.jpg With a belt and detail sander it was sonded but as i relised acrylic paint doesnt stick weel on wood http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/9/27/243258/Guitar2.jpg u can still se sum red showin through http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/9/27/243258/Guitar3.jpg as u can see i tryied a light blue this pic was after i sanded most of it off again to start fresh http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/9/27/243258/Guitar4.jpg This was the new color its a celulose pearescent finish paint and it ran du to my inexperiance of sparying http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/9/27/243258/Guitar5.jpg one of the nasty runs http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/9/27/243258/Guitar6.jpg Next day sanded an sprayed better his time after a few tips from a friend now left to cure/harden over night http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/9/27/243258/Guitar7.jpg un laquered pearl shine http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/9/27/243258/Guitar8.jpg laquered just needin t-cut http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/9/27/243258/Guitar9.jpg eventually t-cut an laquered another 3 times to get the high shine finish
10.
umm...well i built my very first guitar 13years ago out of spare parts from friends and i forgot to ground the bridge...on a high humidity day it would shock the piss out of me.i have never been shocked by a properly grounded guitar.
This might be why my mates guitar onlyshock me on certain days manly when we'r jamming in a cold damp garage we as a mechanical engineer who lighty brushed on electrical components and i mean lightly, i think the fuse is a good idea, but the best option seems to be that earth box thing that works inline. But would two diodes in the right direction on the jack point no work as that would mean if a surge did come up throught the ground the dioe wouldn't let it enter the guitar and wouldnt blow meaning that u would have jst lost one guitar for the rest of the set!! just an idea but would it work???
