  1. I have a 2 year old Taylor 314 that has hardly been played with hardshell case. I am a drum person so for me to try and ramble about this guitar to the wise here at the board would be foolish. I figure if your intrested you know what this guitar is about..

Comes with hardshell case and stand if ya want it.

I am asking $750 plus shipping.

  2. Hey all been awhile since my last post but I just thought I would update some of the things I been doing. Here is a project I am working on for my boss, right now i am laying out the pencil work before I start to burn it. I also set up a simple forum to track my works in progress , answer questions and completed works.

    The address www.relicshells.com

  3. Yea if you burn with high heat you can leave no indentions. Also your right about the hardware covering some things up. This is just a start really to feel it out mainly. I am gonna get some parts when I get back from vacation to go ahead and slap on and maybe just trace out there profile to use as markers of what will not be seen.

  4. Ill just give it back just let me show it around and sutff for a bit before I do though and also it wont be for a couple months before I can get to it. I am doing one for my boss and also got to finish up a bass drum I am working on as well this month.

.Send me and email on the shipping and what not. . .also you got pics?

Also are the body's plain with no finish what so ever??

  5. I know I said this over at the other thread , but just wanted to say awsome site and board. We are in the proccess over at www.ghostnote.net in updating our board and site. We are mainly all about custom drum building but adding this site in our connections seems like the right thing to do since many things between what guitar and drum builders do sometimes cross over.

Anyway I am glad to find this place and hope to share many things with you guys as well I hope you chek us out.

    Awsome!!!

  6. That is a really coo guitar but I think what iam trying to do is do more art that deviates from the typical happy tree;s and grandma;s kitty cats that seem to be associated with wood burning.

Right now I don't have a real plan in place but I would charge just based on the amount of time but not strictly. I would just try and figure out with the customer how much detail is required and just estimate and work with the person on seomthing reasonable.

  7. Hey everyone I ve been for the last year investigating wood burning as a alternate finishing for drum kits. The other day someone mentioned doing guitar body's which I have thought about but never have desided on doing it untill today. Anyway I thought I would start here and ask you guys in guitarland about what you think about these techniuqes as applie to guitars.

My drum works can be see here at Relic Shells . So if you have time I was wondering if you all think it would be coo to start doing guitar body's in some of these similar ways. Although I could do about any type of imagery this is just some that is recent. Thanks hope to gain some good percpectives here.

    Peace

This image was done on curly maple for a cd cover recenlty
