alright im going with wilkinson locking tuners now cause i dont want cheap ones but i dont know about changin the EMG selects do they really sound bad. if you say they do i will change it cause i dont want anything that sucks.
my brothers probly gonna want one so im just gonna turn the templates upside down i have enough wood for a couple. and what do you think the weight will be compared to this solid maple thing that i built
oops sorry about double post was gonna edit it in but forgot . oh yea for pickups im gettin some cheap EMG select things off of stewmac.com cause i dont really wanna spend much money on this cause i gotta buy alot of fretting tools. and i can laways change the pickups later if i like it.
this is the hardware thats gonna be in it
-toploading bridge (not a fan of string throughs after last build hate ferrules)
-emg select humbucker(cheap)
-economy covered gear tuners(cheap)
70ish$ for the hardware probly. but thats bound to change.
yes it will be a lefty and im gonna put a tone knob in it i dont want any regrets on this guitar. i cant play right cause my left hand isa little messed up. im right handed and play lefty lol
thats the body design
heres the wood

its gonna be a curly maple neck through body zebra wood fingerboard with mahogony stripes on either side of the neck the wings are gonna be walnut.
its just gonna be one humbucker with one volume pot since i really dont use my tone knobs since i just started playing guitar. im probly gonna inlay my initialson the 12th fret. what do you think?
on some humbuckers it says they are bridge or neck but on these http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_p...For_Guitar.html it doesnt specify, if i bought two could i put one in bridge and one in neck
so should i sand all the primer off and put another coat of sand and sealer on it and then prime it again, like start over completely, or should i just sand it smooth and spray again.
alright i made a mistake that i shouldnt have. i was kinda rusty with using spray bottles and i sprayed the primer on terribly. it was an uneven coat some parts of the wood are still showing. what should i do?
I made it. If you like that muffin with a face you'll like the song.
Talking Muffins found on Sublimarine X
i dont like it thats the scariest muffin ive ever seen
i did the curves in the body and attached the neck

thanks for the welcomes awesome im number 9000 and im currently doing my first build waiting for my neck(im being lazy buying a neck.) but for a month ive been very interested in guitar building and am already thinking about project number two where i will build the neck. i found free plans for a guitar called the chicken wing and i thought it looked pretty cool so that will be build number two i have pictures of my progress on my first build if anyones interested in looking. its gonna be a left handed delonge signature fender when its finished i hope.
cut out and routed out waiting for neck to come so i can make neck pocket
with strap buttons and jack in
