  1. But it's about playing! Don't know if you like classic music, but this is a new take on the subject. For me it was a relief, and ILAO Might be my new career? Takes about 20 sec. to load, but worth every sec. Playing Classic
  2. Really nice! It looks like like it was broken in ages ago. Impressive wornout finish job. I love it.
  3. I can't wait to see it. I have used some nice pices of koa for knife handles on knives that I have made, but never on a guitar.
  4. Two more pictures that I found and scanned, more is coming (made in the early 80s). The first one (the santa strat) have a body of mahogany with a flat top in maple and body binding in walnut, GMT graphite neck, Kent Armstrong pu's, Schaller hardware (not the fine tuning bridge, I cant recall the brand). The flamed top looked much better in real life, the picture doesn't make it justice. The eagle guitar was a customer order. He had seen the body in Guitar Player and just wanted it, with an explorer neck. I can't recall the name of that *company, but they made some far out guitar bodies. The eagle head was hand carved, and they also had mounted an eye from a small teddy bear (great craftmanship all over). The pu was an early EMG, and the hardware from Schaller. Im not sure of the brand of the fine tuning bridge. *I made a couple of other guitars with bodies from this company, and I have a picture on one more with a strange violin shape (Image is coming).
  5. Thanks for the nice comments! I will put up some more pics, but I must first find and scan them (I think I have 6-8 more somewhere). I'll see what I can dig up. I really like that Tim Donahue bass, real cool. It has an organic design, a bit like some fish.
  6. I have a few pictures of some of the guitars i made during the late 70s and early 80s. I have included two of them, so you can have a look. The standard of those days was not as high as they are today, and Sweden was not the best place to source guitar supplies. The headless guitar was made in 78. Ash body and a maple neck. Hardware and pu's from Schaller. It was a heavy beast, but had a nice tone and great sustain. Because of the weight, I later chambered it out from the back, and all the aspects of the guitar improved. The SC was made in mahogany, with Schaller hardware and a Mighty Mite Motherbucker. Later I added a flamed maple top to it with an amber burst, and the look and the tone improved a lot. I have a few more pictures, and if you are interested to see them I can add them also.
  7. Hi you all... Thought I should introduce myself to this great forum. I'm from Sweden, and have been a guitar nut since the 60s. Crazy about the guitar players from that era, plus Cooder and Lindley. My favourite is Peter Green, and the reason for this is two very special gigs. Had a custom guitar workshop/store from 75 to 86, when I built a lot of guitars and basses. Illness forced me to close down the store, but now I have planned to take up guitar building again.
