  1. yeah. I bought the body used. I have a pickup guard for it.
  2. Finally bought some good primer and the results are good.
  3. I didn't want the wood to rust. The can said it works great on both, and the first can did, but I'll get the car primer regardless. Thanks!
  4. The first primer that worked was Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Multi Purpose. The one that didnt' work was Weather Shield Rust Coat Interior/Ext Alkyd paint.
  5. I sanded this solid body down to the sealer (I think), applied the first coat of primer and got this mess. Sorry about the clarity, but you can see the runs and splotchy marks. It seems to be coming out of the aerosal can smoothly. Is it just the paint? I should say, I put one coat on then ran out of primer. So i had to buy a different brand and the second coat sucked. So sanded it back down and got this again. Picture Please don't post such *massive* images, they take too long to load on slow connections. Review the images posting rules in the announcements secton before posting any more images.
  6. That's great. I wasn't sure if there was a "special" compressor for painting, so that helps. Now I can look into purchasing this and move on to paint. What kind of paint should I get? I'm painting 2 strats, one black, one white. Is there any mixing involved? I already have a respirator.
  7. Do you guys have some recommendations on what kind of painting equipment I should buy? I'm looking for a compressor and gun, so I'm not sure what kind of gun or compressor to get, or if there's anything else I need. My focus will be solid body electric guitars. Maybe you guys know of some decent equipment or brand names that come at a good price. Thanks.
