BeAR
Ive read the tutorial in the project section, but still have a question. Is the material stuck to raw wood, or is the body sealed first? A local guitar tech is re fretting my neck for me and he said that all the material finishes they do involve sealing the body with 2 pac enamel (auto finish) then laying a perfectly cut material piece onto a wet coat. Then they apply futher coats of clear and roll out any air bubbles with a roller. Exactly the same way that you would lay fibreglass with resin. He says this was, ther is no way that the material can de-laminate from the body. He also admitted that there are dozens of ways it can be done but they find this the most successfulway. Has anyone tried this way?
Brian
I've had great success with both using a plain ordinary sanding sealer and also none at all.......... I seriously wouldn't worry about buying some expensive stuff..
