Due to a consistant problem with the server the forum may move soon, if it does the forum address should stay the same but just incase it does change you can always access it from the link on this page.

After it was down today I of course took action and the tech's replied with this:

Greetings,

Let me first say that we at IPS understand and share your frustration with this

unforseen downtime. Our primary DNS server's security was compromised and to

that end we have been forced to enter into an emergency rebuild of this machine.

Although the server your site is on is still functioning, you may have trouble

connecting to it as the primary DNS is the machine which directs visitors to the

proper server when they request your site.

We take pride in our ability to service our customers in a professional manner

and this downtime is a source of great embarassment to our company. The

instability of our current hosting solution has prompted our company to make an

investment in our customers and our network. To that end, we have purchased a

group of new, high-quality machines on a faster network and are ready to move

all our hosting functions to that network.

If you would be so kind as to give us permission to move your site to our new

network we will give you a credit on your account of $10.00 to help make up for

the downtime involved. There will be some downtime in this move but in the end

you will be on a faster and more stable network directly managed by our staff.

You will lose no data in the move and all your account settings and preferences

will be maintained.

In the event you approve this action you may have to change your domain's DNS

zone or other information and if that is the case we will inform you of the

changes you must make before we initiate the transfer.

Let me say again that we share your frustration with this hosting downtime and

hope you take advantage of the hosting credit and move to our new network.

For verification purposes - please provide us with your FTP username and

password.

As an FYI, once this information is received - I will place the ticket on hold

until we are ready to commence the transfer.

I hit that too. Subesequently, only 1 new messge since last visit, and I'd had a few notifications of new ones by email! B)
