Bigtommyb
Ok so as the title suggests im actually starting my project now been on here so long and learnt enough reading the posts to get along with out huge mistakes (hopfully)! its a 7 string nothing really fancy about it but its gonna have a Q tuner pickup on it (they say that the bass XL pickup should do the same job) using the neck from my old Aria Mac 50/7 which is maple with rosewood fretboard (i think) and ummm bout it really. Body is going to be made from flamed sapele, was an amazing buy a slab bout 3" thick and enough to do 5 guitars for only £60!!!! i could probably get it cut in half and do more guitars but i like thick guitars. So ive finally got my last design chosen and have started to do some templates, will post pics of my progress as i go along (once ive stolen my bros camera). Big T Oh and ive already got my 2nd project going on in my head. just got a 2004 ibanez S series body with all the electronics and floyd rose and stuff, only thing missing is the neck so gonna rebuild the whole thing (2 skinny body). Bigtommyb
ok heres my basic design and what its gonna look like. Its gonna be a flamed top so thinking of trying a carri burst or a teal burst (like on one of the PRS Private Stock guitars) Time 2 practice my artistic skillz ADDED: Hardware : 7 string hard tail bridge, Q-tuner BXL Pickup, 1 Push-Pull knob. and thats it.
