Executioner606
Then stop looking at cheezy import models and step up to the handmades my friend. Well , the early handmades. I wouldnt go near B.C. Rich's current shop even though all the guys there are good guys. Now to the knobs .... The knobs do an array of things , you can get some killer tones out of them. http://www.nealmoser.com/Bichwiringdiagram.htm Oh and id stay clear of buying BCR's from Roman. Ive heard that he's made alot of fakes in his day. Edited September 23, 2004 by Executioner606
Southpa
That is just appalling, lol. I've seen amps that have less complicated wiring than that. Oh well, to each his/her own. I prefer to go the other direction, my latest SG copy has only one vol. and one tone, and 3 way switch.
unclej
a buddy of mine simplified life even more than that. bought a garage sale squire for $75.00. put in one di marzio high output humbucker with just a volume knob and absolutely wails on it. blues, rock, whatever. gets all of his sounds out of his pedals. joej
That many knobs is just wrong ... I'm too simple for such complicated choices. --joe
Hotrock
That many knobs is just wrong ... I'm too simple for such complicated choices. --joe Nah amn, that looks about right. For someone who's as useless on the guitar as I am, I need extra buttons and knobs to play with, it helps when you can't hold a tune. Saying that though, I'm quite simple too..... .... I used play drums

G_urr_A
I'd say that kind of wiring is great for a guitar you only use in the studio. Trying to move all those knobs to switch to your lead sound after playing some rhythm stuff for while, well, good luck.
Executioner606
A varitone is a rotary switch with a different value capacitor on each position. BigDGuitars makes them if you want to try one out. I got one from him and need to get it installed.
