Far as water yes there we be water on it mostly water beads, that you will have to get off by blowing, some has used hair dryers to blow them, i've heard others say they just blowed by mouth, or swung guitar. As far as sanding it, if its a bare wood body you will need to seal it, if its a body all ready painted just sand it with say 400 grit sandpaper. As far as the type of paints to use have no idea.
