kiko
Hey all, I have a Fender Strat neck here, and I need to attach Kluson tuners to it. I have the tuners here ready, but the little metal ferrules that go into the holes don't fit, they are a little too big. Can I just force them in lightly with a mallet or do I have to ream them? I was told this neck takes Klusons though! Both are genuine Fender.
Mickguard
Don't force it. You need to ream out the holes a little bit. There's a tool for this. A friend used a drill to do this on one of my guitars....but it was overkill. And he was just a tad off on one of the holes!
PerryL
If you live close to a home depot go there and get a general tools T-Handle Reamer and use it to open the holes a little. I think I spent $14.00 for it and it did the trick. Only do a little at a time though. Don't drill them out.
