Kevan Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 What CAD software are you using? Quote
Southpa Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 (edited) Print out the drawing in actual size , ie. 1:1 ratio with a plotter. Most folks don't have a machine that size in their home so you will have to find someone to print it for you. I like to keep my original drawings as intact as possible so I will trace out what I need to make a template onto a blank sheet. Then I cut it (body outline, pickup and control cavities, etc) out w/ scissors and X-acto knife. Then I trace the outline (after taping it down) of the cutout onto my template material eg. MDF. Then cut and form the template as best I can w/ jigsaw, knives, files, rasps etc. Hope that helps! Edited November 29, 2004 by Southpa Quote
xebryusguitars Posted November 29, 2004 Author Report Posted November 29, 2004 Really?? Wow, I didnt know it was that easy. You put a huge smile on my face. My dad does a crap load of printing so I do have a printer that wide and it does long prints. Thanks a lot, that helped a ton. THanks again. Quote
