~Rock~Guitarist
I was browsing musiciansfriend and noticed the Eric Clapton signiature stratocaster and read "Powerful active mid boost (+25dB) and TBX circuits give it even greater tonal versatility." What exactly does the (+25dB) mean and do? I know it raises the tone by 25 decibels but what kind of difference will i notice in the tone? Also, what are/what do the TBX circuits do? How can I do these things to my strat? Also, i remember once reading about a Van Halen mod, can someone refresh my memory as to what it does? thanks. daveq
Check out guitarelectronics.com - they sell the Clapton mid boost circuit. I think it's currently out of stock but they do have a description of it.
