chrisb0109
O have a hot rod trussrod with an allen rench, headstock side adjustment. When I place the rod into the neck does the allen rench adjustment go towards the fretboard or towards the back of the neck?
PerryL
I believe it's any way you want it but keep in mind that if you have to adjust the truss rod nut, and it's mounted at the neck heel, you have to remove the neck screws if it's a bolt on, or if it's neck thru cut an access hole in the body. The most popular place is at the headstock though since you can get to the truss rod nut without removing the neck.
jch4v
I am pretty sure it goes to the back of the neck. I dont think PerryL understood your question.... The adjustment peg sticks out at the headstock end... and you were asking if the longer piece is on top or bottom right? If so... I say bottom! asm
its towards the back of the neck. that way you get maximum clearence for your truss rod cover. if you had a angled headstock it would actually stick out pretty far if you put it the wrong way. ps- its 'wrench', not rench Edited December 9, 2004 by asm
