tsl602000 Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 All you finish experts: I was wondering what you guys do if you get dust specks into your finish. Do you sand it out immediately, or just continue to spray and sand it out in the end and fill it with laquer. I dunno if it's the weather or the color (vintage white), but those dust specs are killing me. It takes about an hour after every coat to sand out the dust specks. Driving me crazy.... Coen Quote
Brian Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Have you tried using a long roll of sheet (mylar) plastic or tarps and setting up a temporary spray booth to help control your enviroment? The stuff is pretty cheap and reusable... Quote
gw_guitars Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Coen, Have you tried spraying the surroundings with water so the dust can't whirl around? Gerard Quote
tsl602000 Posted June 8, 2003 Author Report Posted June 8, 2003 Gerard, Yes, I kicked away a huge can of water out of frustration....:-) However, I'm finishing in my attic... spraying water is not an option... Coen Quote
