daniboy Posted January 2, 2005 Report Share Posted January 2, 2005 hello fluke, what is it exactly you will be using for active circuitry? under the usual circumstances of passive/active mix, your passive pickups hi-z signal will be conververted to lo-z. you will have a cleaner and clearer tone with a little increase in the high frequencies (some say sterile). lo-z signals will drive long cables - up to 30m - without losing much signal strength. and of course, you will need room to fit the 9v battery. dani Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
