Canuck Brian
I was recently up at my wife's parents place for Christmas and I found a catalogue from a company called Lee Valley. They have locations in Canada and I was wondering if anyone had any dealings with them before. I haven't seen any references on the forum or any links to them... I'm going to be heading out to the Toronto store some time tomorrow to see what they're like. Maybe pick up a spokeshave.....
Devon Headen
A little on the expensive side, but they are a GREAT company that carries very good quality stuff.
darren wilson
Their Veritas tool line is very highly regarded. I was speaking to a woodworker who makes dog sleds last week, and he said their low-angle spokeshave works wonders on rounding over compared to a normal spokeshave. He uses one for carving the handles on the sleds, approximately the same task as carving a neck.
jer7440
I get WOOD magazine and they are constantly listing Lee Valley tools as a source for various tools. As was said before the carry very high quality stuff.
