Alchool
Hi all, got another question. I have a warmoth double expanding truss rod and I'm ready to route the channel on the neck. Does it need a curved channel or a flat one? If it needs a flat channel, can I glue fretboard directly over the neck without using a filler strip to cover the truss rod? tsl602000
Alchool, It's hard to see on the pic, but it looks like it's the kind of trussrod that needs a flat channel. Did you get anything of a manual with it? My guess is that you need to rout an 3/8" channel.
Alchool
Yes, I got a manual, but I lost it I think that it needs a flat channel too.
ryeisnotcool2
heck just call warmoth on monday! those guys are really nice and im sure they can tell you exactly what size truss rod route you need to make! and you dont need to cover the truss rod slot woth wood at least. but before i glue i put a piece of 3/4 tape over the rod then glue the neck evenly, remove tape and when you place the fret board on the glue will spread just to the edge and not on the rod.
