sepultura999 Posted January 12, 2005 Report Share Posted January 12, 2005 I was browsing on ebay and found a guitar, and I wondered what it was made of because so many sellers on ebay do this, "solid body guitar" but never tell you what kind of wood is used! anyways, the seller replied back to me and said "Im not sure how many pieces the body is made of. My manufactuer claims that the body is "phenox tree" ?? a foreign wood. They are quite heavy." I think he means Phoenix. In any event does anyone have information about this kind of wood such as what kind of tone it would produce? I looked on google images and i keep getting palm trees, and they're pretty thin - is it possible it could be multi-ply? All help is appreciated!
