ToneMonkey
Hey guys, On the front page of the forums, where the online member list is, there is a member called "Google.com". Who the hell is it? There is no record of them in the member section and normally where you can click on the name (on the active member list) you go to their details. However you cannot click on their name. Also, the name was in black when I first saw it, then it was in orange and now it's black again. Is this just something that has gone a bit wrong during the upgrade, or is there something more dodgy going on? Kaj Quote Link to comment
Alexander
Nothing dodgy, it's what's called a search engine spider, which goes round the net indexing pages for Google's searches. Quote Link to comment

Devon Headen
Hey, I've never heard of that, that's pretty cool . Isn't a name written in orange a forum supporter, though? Quote Link to comment
darren wilson
As far as i know, search engine spiders don't have the intelligence to register as members on Internet discussion boards. But maybe the new Invision board software is smart enough to recognize when the spider is indexing content, so it identifies it as a "member". Dunno what the orange link means. Quote Link to comment
