Drak
Of course nobody sees it, but the coolest Gibson amp Gibson -EVER- made, the top of the heap Gibson, ...is buried in one of his pictures, a Gibson 79RVT stereo. Can YOU spot it?
Scott Rosenberger
I figured Drak would have rented a truck, grabbed a shoutgun and a ski mask and headed over there by now
Drak
Actually I've been there several times over the past 15 years or so. Nice goods. Very expensive. I think his vintage guitars are nicer than his vintage amp collection. His vintage Gibson hollowbody collection will make your knees buckle like buttuh. PS, the Gibson is in the pic of the multiple amps, not the big store shot, but the one where you just see the tops of the amps...it looks like a corner table sort of, sort of triangular, in the upper left part of the picture, you can only see the very top of it, but the shape of the top is a dead giveaway. PS.....Shoutgun....hmmmmm.... maybe my next band? Hahahahaa!
erikbojerik
Yeah I've dropped in on those guys a few times, about 10 minutes from where I work. Like you Drak I was checking out the Gibson jazzboxes. They let me take some measurements off a Tal Farlow for future use, they're pretty cool down there. Funny to see an amp plug without a ground pin.
bigdguitars
speaking of a Tal Farlow my buddy had an orignal one owner bring one into his shop for a clean up. This was an unreal guitar, this old guy had it from the day he bought it all orginal, perfect condition... The played unreal... Whats great is the old guy knew he had a 10g guitar... In chicago we have a couple of placed that have vintage gear but not like that...
