I think, by asking questions here, you could certainly make an 8 string bass. If you are seroius about building on though, DEFINATELY get thjat book. Meegs666 Posted January 31, 2005 Report Share Posted January 31, 2005 i would get the book. it is a good reference for anything, not just for the tutorial. there is no big problem when it comes to an 8 stringer, other than maybe the slightly wider nut and the string tension. any questions you have will most definitly be able to be answered on the forum. a few of the guys here are experts on basses. so you will get a lot of feedback and help.
