Radius540 Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 hi!I am just wandering how do i take a fret board off without damaging the neck of the guitar. i have a rg 3120 very nice and sexy guitar. just want to change the fret board to a jem. it would be easy just to change the whole neck but my RG is a neck thru... so can anyone tell me how to change it? LGM Guitars Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 Why change the board? Just do a vine inlay and fill the old dots, it will be 95% hidden. Much less work than removing a board from a neck thru guitar. Quote
Radius540 Posted February 9, 2005 Author Report Posted February 9, 2005 but man its so hard to do isn't it? at least i can not do it lol. i do wood work but not that good Quote
jemwannabe Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 Well more importantly who just selld the vine inlay? Or the pyramid inlay? Need the materials first.. Quote

monkey69962000 Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 do you mean a CNC mill. You need to work with CAD programs, if it only cuts length and width and not depth than the free version of Turbo CAD should work. Then you put it in G Format, and send it to the machine. Thats how it works. I remeber if you search a little on CNC mills, there was a site that had a bunch of pre made CAD's. Take one of the guitars, take away what you dont need, conver to G, and put it in the CNC Mill. I might be a little off. Just trying to help. Quote
