Agent Jem
I'm painting the headstock of the sg im building and in a certain spot I keep getting this ripple effect. I let the paint fully dry and I sanded the paint until it was smooth and uniform all over. Then I painted again and I noticed the paint went all ripply again. What should I do? Brian
I've battled that problem before. I think (don't know for sure) it is something coming up from underneath the primer. So far I've found only two ways to deal with it, strip it back down and re-prime it is the first. The second is build up layers of paint without sanding till it is good and thick then sand and level it. From there add one more coat of color then clear if your going to clear.
