Do washburn wonderbar bridges need a neck angle like a TOM or can they use a 0 degree angle?

I think they can do either. I had one on a Les Paul (5-7 degree neck angle typically). There was a base plate that screwed into the existing TOM studs (no routing required), then the bridge itself screwed onto the base plate.

But I've also seen one mounted onto a Tele without the base plate.

I've seen one mounted flat on a washburn and I *think* the neck was flat mounted.

though I've seen the TOM converter plates as well.
