WarriorOfMetal
i'm wondering if i were to dab a little bit of epoxy or something on the outside of the bushing and slide it into the hole, should it hold reasonably well? or is there a better way to fix this? stiggz
it should hold, if u never want to get it out again, otherwise use somehting that isnt as strong or u can easily remove later
WarriorOfMetal
someone on another board suggested elmer's wood glue, so i think i'm gonna give that a shot.
thedoctor
No, no, no, no! If these are just press-in bushings, you need a more stable, centric repair. Heck with glue of any type. I take brass shim stock (about .002-.005) and cut little strips the same width as the bushing is long and wrap it around the bushing until it has to be clamped or tapped in. Cheap and easy and all it takes is a pair of scissors. Easy to remove if it ever becomes an issue.
