phingerboard
Anybody know of any good sources for semi-precious gemstone slabs for inlay? Tigereye, Malachite, Snowflake Obsidian, stuff like that.
Batfink
Masecraft is, to my limited knowledge, one of the biggest supplier of recon stone for inlay but, again as far as i know, they only sell by the block not slab so you'd have to have a way of cutting it. If you look at the suppliers links i'm sure someone there sells by the slab. Jem.
erikbojerik
I think your only hope is to get a slow-speed wafering saw with a diamond blade, then scour the gem shows to find what you're after. This is one that I use...it is also great for slotting nuts. Isomet precision saw
Clavin
Rescue pearl now sells recon stone in inlay grade thicknesses. They are THE best for stone. Period. Recon stone is so soft it can be cut with a jewelers saw. You don't need a "stone" cutter, It's real stone dust mixed with epoxy, not solid stone. It's on their home page- go there now young jedi... www.rescuepearl.com Good luck. C.Lavin
