wontonpillsbury Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 well you need to calculate where to put the floyd rose posts and then route te cavity accordingly. ive never done it before but i think you would have to make the saddle to nut length exactly whatever scale you are making for instance 25.5 and then put the posts wherever it would make the FL sit in that exact position Quote
haggardguy Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 Draw it out in full, plan ahead, research how to prepare for a floyd if you are doign a carved top, will it be recessed or not? Planning is key. Quote
Kevan Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 From the Fernandes-Japan site: (horizontal) http://www.fernandes.co.jp/p16-burny/rlc/65s/images/s/sw.jpg (vertical) http://www.fernandes.co.jp/p16-burny/rlc/65s/images/b/sw.jpg No- you can't buy that guitar in the U.S. (for obvious reasons. LOL) The pics should help with your initial drawings. Remember: A LP's normal scale length is 24.75". Quote
