Miro
hi anyone who's reading this. I'm finishing my Les Paul body and, I got a Varnish or Lacquer can (I don't know the word, damn Brazil! ) and it says that one of the composts is Polyurethane. Does it give a good finish? 82DeanZ
I've used polyurethane from a can with great results. It sets up very quickly. I was able to wet sand within 3 days of application. Go for it! Best Regards, Mike.

unclej
one little caution about poly..and i use it a lot..if you're going to sand between coats absolutely sure that you do allow 3 to 5 days between coats. if you try to do it overnight, let's say, then the previous coat will bubble, crackle and just generally mess up. read the instructions on the can..they'll usually tell you to apply additional coats withing a few minutes or let dry thoroughly.
