mullmuzzler Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 I've found on the net that pickups that are direct-to-wood mounted have shallow route so the pickup is screwed directly into the wood without foam or springs (hence the name!). The John Petrucci and EVH models have that kind of setup (pickup routing). I would appreciate if somebody could enlight me in terms of propper dimensions for such pickup mounting solution. Also, I've noticed that route shape in Petrucci model (kinda spikey in the screw region) differs than route in, let say, RG570CT or any other lower range direct mounted pickup guitar. If this is not understandable, I'll make a sketch in the next post. mullmuzzler | OSSMT Quote
