unclej
i recently read a thread somewhere about how to make your own veneer on a surface planer. because most planers won't crank down to a proper thickness it requires making an auxiliary table. i tried the method today and it worked perfectly. the question is..did anyone else see the method here or did i see it somewhere else? i'd be happy to share the info if anyone's interested but don't want to repeat someone elses thread. i did a search and couldn't find anything. unclej
that's pretty much it..i just planned down a piece of maple to make sure it was flat then attached a cleat on the bottom at one end to keep it from being pulled through and then use it to run the wood on...got a perfect piece of zebra wood veneer to use on the headstock of my current project...
