gnappi
I just bought a Rickenbacker 4000 Stereo Bass in terrible shape. The binding on the body, and neck are gone, as is the pickguard and finish. The neck is straight, and electronics are fine. Other than giving up more than what it's worth to a guitar maker, I thought I'd give the binding a shot. Anyone have any sources for materials, and techniques? I've done LOTS of furniture, and restored classic amps, but no guitars. TIA, Gary
Mattia
Stewmac, Stewmac info sheets, Erlewine's Guitar Player Repair Guide, masking tape, glue of your choice (superglue or weldon, with weldon probably being less messy)
