unsane Posted October 24, 2005 Report Share Posted October 24, 2005 (edited) are most pickup mounting rings a standard size? i may have routed the pickup cavitys on my project guitar slightly too big,when i placed the mounting ring on the resulting cavity, there was worringly little clearance between the screw holes and the cavity itself. are there any bigger mounting rings i could get? Maiden69 Posted October 24, 2005 Report Share Posted October 24, 2005 I noticed this when I looked at the new pic you posted... but instead of making a new thread you could had asked over there. A lot of people were already watching the thread and you would get a lot more feedback than by doing this. One thing you may have to do is add wood on the area were you screw the rings on(glue a piece of wood and re-route just the ear portion) Or make custom rings yourself.
