Samba Pa Ti
im currently trying to get all my parts together (i already bought these) and im wondering how im supposed to wire these things up... (i tried to test them with different wiring combinations, couldnt get a sound out of them). the wires i see are a unshielded wire, a blue and a red, i had i look on kent armstrongs website for the wiring schematic but its complicated and i couldnt seem to get the right one for the trisonics http://www.kentarmstrong.com/KA_Pickup_Wir...nstructions.pdf at first i thought ground was copper and red was hot, then blue was for coil tapping, it seems red is for coiltapping and blue is hot ? it says i should mix the red/ground (not sure what this would do). any advice appreciated
lovekraft
The bare wire is probably a pickup shield - try wiring blue to hot and red (and the bare wire) to ground. AFAIK, the Trisonic doesn't have a coil tap. The reason for the separate shield wire is so you can run the pickup out of phase without connecting the shield to the hot output.
