rastachild Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 is there a way to convert a neck with a locking nut to a regular nut? or does anyone know of any replacement nuts that would fit in the space that was previously occupied by a locking nut? Quote
fookgub Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Allparts makes one. They're for sale at Universal Jems, among other places. I bought one and, frankly, I was unimpressed. This thread contains a picture of a conversion nut I made out of Corian: http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.php?showtopic=21451. This was my first try. The second one I made is MUCH better. I'll have a pic when the guitar is back from having its frets leveled. Anyway, the Allparts one works, but making your own isn't hard, so you might consider doing that instead. Quote
