Gustom
I'm getting a Dimarzio Tone Zone T(bridge) and Dimarzio Cruiser(Neck) and I'm wondering how the wire diagram for these pickups would be with a standard 5-way switch 1 volume and 1 tone-knob. Pickup switching would be the following: 1 pos: bridge pickup 2 pos: bridge(inner coil) + neck pickup 3 pos: bridge + neck parallel 4 pos: bridge + neck series 5 pos: neck pickup
scott from _actual time_
...a standard 5-way switch 1 volume and 1 tone-knob. 1 pos: bridge pickup 2 pos: bridge(inner coil) + neck pickup 3 pos: bridge + neck parallel 4 pos: bridge + neck series 5 pos: neck pickup you've got to be more specific about positions 3 and 4. for 3, do you mean bridge and neck each in series, then in parallel with each other? and what is 4--the two humbuckers in series with each other to make a giant, 4-coil pickup? regardless, you can't get either of those combinations with a standard 5-way switch. you'll need a 24-pole superswitch. Thanks for the info. I was afraid it wouldn't be possible with a standard 5-way switch. I'm now wondering if it is possible to modify the following wiring diagram. so that position 4 would be Bridge split and Neck Humbucker(not splitted)? and if possible then how would it be done? http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/schem...ay-w-split.html

Thank you very much! One last question. Is it possible to make position 5 on that diagram to be nothing instead of bridge split. What I'm saying is that none of the pickups would be used in any way in pos 5? how would that be done then?

What I'm saying is that none of the pickups would be used in any way in pos 5? no, that's not possible without also changing position 4. if you did not solder the bridge white+red to teh switch, you would have nothing on in position 5, but you'd also have no bridge single coil in position 4. OK, thanks! I'll do the diagram with the modification you helped me with.
