Mounting Pickups To Rings....simple Yes/no Question

Is that that correct method of doing it?

On a different note, I have screws that fit the pickups but dont thread into the pickup rings....one set is too thin and one too big. How much does this matter, im thinking that even if the hole doesnt have a thread for the screws then the tension of the spring pushing will hold the screw down in place...

That's how it works.

The pickup screws don't thread into the ring, they just pass through. And, yes, the springs hold the pickup in place.
