soapbarstrat Posted March 19, 2006 Report Share Posted March 19, 2006 Last time I was at HF , they had their meters on sale for $2.00 each. That's even their latest model with the on/off switch. I paid $3.00 for one a few years ago without an on/off switch. I also have a $50.00 ECG meter, but I don't know if it's any better than the HF one, except the ECG has an on/off switch, and makes a beep noise, which the HF isn't capable of (at least not the one I have). soapbarstrat Posted March 20, 2006 Report Share Posted March 20, 2006 HF = Harbor Freight Tools If you have one you can drive too, it's worth checking into .perhaps check their website first to get a print-out of the item on sale .you need some kind of "proof" that an item is on sale, when buying it at their store. - I mean *when* it's on sale, because their sales go back and forth like the phases of the moon. As for ordering from them over the internet, I don't recommend that. They've done me wrong a few times with that, and I hope I'm never tempted to order over the internet from them again. I was actually supposed to get a free multimeter with my last order, and they listed it as "out of stock" on my invoice along with a refund amount of $0.00. The catalog I ordered from had a "spend $35.00, get a free multi-meter" offer. So, they conned their way out of the offer, it seems. I only buy stuff from them when it's at least 1/2" off.
