Southpa Posted April 4, 2006 Report Share Posted April 4, 2006 (edited) I stripped a Roadstar a few years back. The "coating" was nearly 1/8" thick in some areas. I used a heat gun and a scraper first, then some circa 1850 then the usual sanding. You really have to get medievel on some of these guitars.
