Red Kramer
Hey guys, I am going to scallop my fretboard (starting with just the bottom four frets) and I read the tutorials. I think they're excellent but I don't understand the difference between standard scalloping (just using a file) and the Richie Blackmore style. Chances are that if I do go beyond just the bottom four frets (19, 20, 21, 22) it will be to the 12th fret and no further. Would it be ok to just use a few different sized files for this? Or should I go all out like the full neck scallop tutorial says? Thanks for the help, Andy
Maiden69
Go read the tutorial again... the standard is a scallop between both frets and the R Blackmore is just half the space. Brian explains this on the tutorial.
