Nitefly SA
try to build up the corners for one, also dont sand every coat and wait until about 5 or 6 coats to start sanding(wet) then keep adding coats sanding after about every fourth coat
Southpa
What grit do you begin wetsanding with? I start with 600 grit, nothing coarser than that. If the lacquer was laid down thick enough (but not TOO thick ), and allowed to cure for a reasonable amount of time only a few swipes should be necessary to sand those areas to a uniform finish. Then I continue with 800, 1200, 1500 and finally 2000 before polishing. Edited May 10, 2006 by Southpa
