So My Friend Bought "the Who: Live At The Isle Of Wight"

Well, I watched it today, and the end result is that I now pretty much worship Pete Townshend. I love his playing style, and I loved watching him solo. I mean, for me his solos were the ultimate rock solos, for me. I can pretty much only play blues solos, as I spend most my time in minor pentatonic. Does anyone have any information on some of the scales he used? Different forms of minor/major pentatonic? I'm lost

Checked it out from the library. Great concert!

Times have changed. It looked like he played the whole show with the same guitar, an SG with P90s. He didn't appear to have much in the way of effects. At the end of one song, he looked pissed and grabbed a pedal like he was going to hurl it. Other than that, I didn't see anything. He did all his twiddling with tone and volume.
